About Us
Able Physiotherapy was established in 2005. We are a Physiotherapy and Sports Injury Clinic in Hampton and have treated thousands of patients since opening. At Able, the patient is the centre of the rehabilitation plan. We believe in returning you to your highest level of function as quickly as possible.
Alexis Kekeh is the Head Physiotherapist and Clinic Owner at Able. Alexis is a Chartered Physiotherapist with a particular specialism in musculoskeletal disorders, back and neck pain and sports injuries.
Graduating in 2000 from Brunel University, Alexis trained at several teaching hospitals including St Mary’s, Hammersmith, Royal Free and Charing Cross hospitals.
With over 20 years experience, Alexis is a leader in his field. He enjoys acting as a clinical educator for the next generation of therapists.
As a young man, Alexis’ dream to become a professional footballer was cut short by a knee injury sustained after running a marathon without proper training. However, the intensive physiotherapy treatments he received encouraged him to pursue a career in physiotherapy.
His own experience as an injured sportsman and the extensive knowledge gained over two decades working for the NHS and in private clinics, have influenced his practice and helped him to understand and empathise at a deeper level with his patients.
He understands that injuries can also have a psychological impact on a patient, so he ensures that each patient is treated holistically, by creating individually tailored treatment plans that encompass not only the understanding of the injury, but also the patient’s personal and psychological story.
While remaining disappointed that he can no longer play football, Alexis is now wiser and has discovered other sports that are gentler on his ageing body! In his spare time he enjoys swimming, salsa dancing and cycling - you may spot him riding through Bushy Park!
